Catherine McGillApril 18 – Speaker: Catherine McGill
Topic: Weeds Friend or Foe?
Catherine is the District Director of District 6 (Brant,Halton,Norfolk,Wentworth, Halimand, Hamilton).
She is a Horticulture and Design Judge. Not only does she garden but she also is a chef, blacksmith,
horse trainer, and Mom. Her passion is for gardens and the “weeds of many varieties” found within them.

 

Brenda GallagherMay 16 – Speaker: Brenda Gallagher
Topic: Native Plants in the Garden
Brenda has had a passion and a deep respect for nature since she was very young.
She is a Forestry Technician and Vegetation Specialist with the Upper Thames Conservation Authority

 

Dr. Andrew PeregrineJune 20 – Speaker: Dr. Andrew Peregrine
Topic: Tick & Lyme Disease and How to Prevent it.
Dr. Peregrine is a veterinarian and clinical parasitologist at the Ontario Veterinary College,
University of Guelph. He spoke to us last June 2021 virtually – now we can meet him in person!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Annual Plant Sale

It’s Official! Our Plant Sale is a “go”
SATURDAY MAY 21, 2022

Lambeth United Church Parking Lot
8:00 am – Noon
Annuals, Perennials, Grasses, Vegetables, Herbs, Native Plants

Children’s Table: We will show children hot to transplant and care for a plant.

The plant sale is one of our biggest fund raisers.
How you can help:
* Divide any perennials you can (do this as soon as the ground is workable)
* Pot them up and label them
* Bring any seedlings of annuals or perennials (they are always welcome)
* Small Trees, shrubs, and bushes sell well also
* Gardening Items for Sale (Gardening Tools, Books, Pots, Ornaments and Accessories).
Please bring the day of the Sale.

If you should need plants picked up call Cheryl 519-857-9484

Bring your contributions around 7:30 am the day of the sale.
